When designing a costume, research is usually necessary, whether it is a past or present fashion style. This character was popular in the 1980s, hence the Olivia Newton John haircut with a headband, and the Pat Benatar-style outfit. The leather jacket with different-coloured tank top underneath was a popular look. Combine this with form-fitting spandex pants, made popular by the hair-metal bands, and you have one hot 80s chick!

Wasp

This costume was rendered essentially as black shiny skin. The only way you can discern that it is fabric is by the neckline on the suit. As a general rule, the brightest highlights on a shiny object should always be applied on the highest point of the form, unless there is a strong sidelight or rim light.
